Hi, I'm Sarthak, a San Diego photographer with eight years behind the camera. I started with a borrowed camera and a summer spent shooting my friends around the city, and it grew into something I couldn't put down.
At the heart of it is a simple belief: a photo only takes 1/8000th of a second, but the real magic is in the relationship that gets you there. I take time getting to know every client first, so when the camera comes up, you're just being yourself, not performing for a stranger.

Most people will see your photos on a phone. But years from now, you might print one for your home, crop it for a frame, or notice a tiny detail you never saw before. That's why I love creating images with so much detail.

For years I balanced this with a career as a biotech scientist, working in molecular biology and platform development. Eventually the choice became obvious: go all in on photography, full time. The same curiosity that made me good in a lab, paying attention, noticing small things, staying patient until something clicks, turns out to be exactly what makes a good portrait session too.
Outside of sessions, you'll probably find me surfing at Scripps Pier, cooking something new, or already planning the next trip. I like people who are a little weird, families who bicker and laugh in the same breath, and couples who forget the camera's there. If that's you, I'd love to meet you :)
